About This Wine

This limited release 2021 Petit Verdot is the first of this varietal under the Suhru label. It has a dark, intense color in the glass with bright red fruit on the nose—violets, blackberry and dark bing cherry aromas. The rich, brambly fruit notes carry onto the palate with notes of blackberry, bing cherry and a hint of pomegranate and vanilla on the finish.

Typical of this varietal, there are volumes of tannin gripping the mid-palate and carrying on through the finish. Despite its youth, the 2021 vintage is smooth and silky in the glass. This wine can be enjoyed now with heartier fare, but will reward you for cellaring it for several years.
