Suhru Wines, founded by Susan Hearn in 2008, highlights lesser-known varietals and unique winemaking styles. These wines are vibrant, approachable, and full of personality. Lieb Cellars emphasizes classic vitis vinifera grape varieties and sophisticated sparkling wines. Favorites include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Bordeaux-style reds. Russell Hearn, our veteran winemaker, brings international experience from Australia, New Zealand, France, and across the United States. Susan Hearn, Director of Wholesale and founder of Suhru Wines, draws inspiration from her travels across the world’s wine regions. As a leading woman in wine, Susan is committed to wines that are as distinctive as they are enjoyable.
Joining the Hearn family are the Fondacaros: John Fondacrao, our Director of Viticulture, whose lifelong passion for wine and agriculture is matched by Renée Fondacrao, our Brand Manager, who brings a meticulous eye for quality and customer experience. Meet Shelby Hearn Ulrich, our General Manager, and Brad Ulrich, Assistant Winemaker & Vineyard Manager. Shelby, a third-generation wine professional, champions local North Fork winemakers while elevating the tasting room experience. Brad, inspired by Shelby and trained under Russell, leads the vineyard team. He has earned accolades for his own winemaking, including a 93-point award-winning release.
